Providing goods and services to individuals with disabilities

Innovative Medicines Canada is committed to excellence in serving all its members and partners including individuals with disabilities. We will make every effort to accommodate individuals when they are visiting the Innovative Medicines Canada office and/or receiving our services.

Assistive devices

We will ensure that our staff is trained and familiar with any assistive devices made available to people with disabilities while accessing our office/services.

Communication

We will communicate to the best of our abilities with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability.

As a tenant in a commercial office tower, Innovative Medicines Canada has discussed accessibility with the landlord, and the landlord has indicated that it will also make every attempt to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.

Service animals

We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are permitted in our commercial office tower and more specifically allowed in our office suite.

Support persons

A person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them in our commercial office tower and more specifically in our office suite.

Notice of temporary disruption

In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for individuals with disabilities, such as disruption of the office tower’s elevator services, Innovative Medicines Canada, in collaboration with the commercial landlord and to the best of its abilities, will notify individuals with disabilities and/or their support persons as soon as possible in advance of any visits to the office suite. Any notice will include a description of alternative facilities or services, if available.
