Innovative Medicines Canada sponsors initiatives that raise awareness, provide education, and support improved access to innovative treatments.
Before You Apply
Thank you for considering Innovative Medicines Canada as a potential partner. To ensure alignment, we’ve outlined eligibility criteria and funding priorities below.
We support proposals that demonstrate strategic alignment with our mission and create opportunities for long-term partnerships in the following areas:
- Access to innovative medicines
- Health advocacy and improving health outcomes for Canadians
- Disease awareness initiatives
- Health and science education programs
Priority is given to proposals from:
- Patient and consumer groups
- Healthcare professionals
- Academic community
- The business community
- Life sciences sector organizations
Funding criteria
To be eligible for funding, your proposal must clearly demonstrate:
- Alignment with Innovative Medicines Canada’s Mission Statement
- Adherence to the Code of Ethical Practices
- Compliance with our Guidelines for Transparency in Stakeholder Funding
Application Deadlines
We review sponsorship proposals quarterly. Please refer to the deadlines below:

Types of Support
Innovative Medicines Canada provides funding through:
- Unrestricted grants
- Sponsorships (typically up to a maximum of $10,000)
Funding Exclusions
We do not provide funding for:
- Individuals
- Arts, culture, entertainment programs
- Individual attendance at conferences, seminars, or similar activities
- Fundraising or participatory events (e.g., tournaments, auctions, benefits, dinners)
- Ticket purchases that are not part of a broader partnership
- Programs that do not align with at least one of our strategic priorities

Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation. Due to high volumes, we are unable to provide updates via phone, fax, or email. All applicants will receive a decision by the relevant deadline. We appreciate your patience.
